Mini-pack Generators by Specialty Gas

Mini Pack Generators

Tailored for use in applications with fixed flow and pressure properties, the compact oxygen receiver characteristic of our Mini Pack Oxygen Generators provides expedited initialization and occupies notably less space compared to similar setups employing a conventional, detached receiver. Effortlessly link the device's inlet to a suitable compressed air source, connect the oxygen outlet to the intended application, and plug in the power cord to a suitable electrical supply.

Standard or Custom-Designed Systems

Standard oxygen plants are available in two main designs: low pressure power-optimized and high pressure cost-optimized configurations. The low pressure plants can produce around 93% oxygen at a maximum of 15 psig (105 kPa or 1.03 barg). On the other hand, high pressure plants can generate the same oxygen concentration at up to 65 psig (448 kPa or 3.0 barg) without utilizing an oxygen compressor.

For more specialized requirements, custom-designed oxygen plants can offer oxygen concentrations ranging from 70% to 99%. There's also the option of incorporating an oxygen booster, which allows for the delivery of oxygen at pressures as high as 3,000 psig (20,685 kPa).

Cylinder Refilling Systems by Specialty Gas

Cylinder Refilling Systems

AirSep offers an array of Oxygen Cylinder Refilling Systems to meet diverse customer demands. These turnkey plants, supporting capacities ranging from 8 to 100s of cylinders daily, empower users to fill oxygen cylinders for various purposes or distribution. The comprehensive package includes essential components like a feed air compressor, feed air dryer, oxygen generator, oxygen booster, and a cylinder filling rack. The oxygen compressor efficiently delivers oxygen at pressures up to 2,200 psig (15,169 kPa or 151.6 barg) to a high-pressure manifold, facilitating the simultaneous filling of up to 10 cylinders. These automated cylinder refilling plants strictly adhere to the standards of the United States and European Pharmacopoeia Oxygen 93 Percent (93% ±3%) Monograph. To cater to specific needs, customers can opt for an optional high purity module, which elevates oxygen concentration to an impressive 99% ±.5%.

FAQ's

  • What is the difference between an oxygen concentrator and an oxygen generator?

An oxygen concentrator filters and concentrates oxygen from ambient air for medical use. An oxygen generator, often referring to systems like PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) or VPSA (Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption), produces oxygen for industrial applications by extracting it directly from atmospheric air.

  • What does an oxygen generator do?

An oxygen generator produces oxygen from atmospheric air for various applications. Specialty Gas Canada offers a range of PSA and VPSA oxygen generators suitable for both small and large tonnage oxygen needs. These systems can generate oxygen more economically and reliably than traditional sources like cylinders or liquid oxygen.

  • How does an industrial oxygen generator work for industrial use?

Industrial oxygen generators work by separating oxygen from other atmospheric gases. The two common technologies used are PSA and VPSA. These systems function on the principle of adsorption, where compressed air is passed through adsorbent beds at high pressure to separate oxygen.

  • How do you make industrial oxygen?

Industrial oxygen is typically made using PSA or VPSA technologies. Air is compressed and passed through a molecular sieve where nitrogen and other atmospheric gases are adsorbed, and oxygen is collected as the product. This process can be set up to both operate continuously (24 x 7) and produce oxygen on-demand for industrial applications.

  • What are the main types of oxygen generators?

The main types of oxygen generators are:

PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) Oxygen Generators: These use pressure to force air through a molecular sieve and adsorb nitrogen, allowing oxygen to pass through as the product gas.

VPSA (Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption) Oxygen Generators: These operate similarly to PSA but use a vacuum to regenerate the adsorbent, which can be more energy-efficient under certain conditions.
